STREET PEOPLE PROGRAMME

The meeting there to launch the “Vuseleleka Programme” on Tuesday 31, March 2015 at Highway Community Church held by ACDI was a success. This FORUM is led by the same street people. The Street People who are also drugs addicts of whoonga need help, love and support. Lets not watch whilst a number of youth turns out to be nothing but criminals.

The following are urgent interventions needed:

1) REHAB to be conducted where they live, in the street. As Rehab’s are far-off or not from their environment as this makes them come back to drugs again (after Rehab).
2) They need skills training, job preparation, restoration of hope, crime prevention and life skills
3) they need at least one meal a day
4) they are prepared to change their lives for the better.

We need the help of industries and entrepreneurs to invest in the Africa Community Development Initiatives (071-542 NPO) through their CSI – Corporate Social Investment.

Also need government departments like KZN Department of Social Development, eThekwini Municipality, KZN Department of Public Works, NYDA – National Youth Development Agency, KZN Department of Transport, and KZN Department of Health, and KZN Department of Economic Development, Tourism, and Agriculture, and Imagine Durban to come on board.
